Gameplay
Can I host the game without knowing who the murderer is?
Yes! In fact, all of our party boxes are intentionally written so that even the murderer themselves is unaware of their true identity.
Do you have any character costume recommendations?
Of course! We actually curated this Pinterest board with costume inspo for each character.
Are there any age restrictions?
We typically suggest our games are played by ages 16+ alongside adult supervision, but this is guidance only. Please use your own judgment in assessing the appropriate age for players.
Can I add more players?
Yes of course! For the spooky night-in mystery packets, there is no maximum number of players.
However for the murder mystery party boxes, there are 12 scripted characters included in each box. Hosts can encourage additional players to create their own characters and to improvise throughout the night.
How many players do I need?
Our party box murder mystery games can be played with a minimum of 6 players. While our spooky night-in mystery packets can be enjoyed with a minimum of 2 players.
AGOMM Hosted Events
What should I expect at an AGOMM hosted event?
At an event hosted by A Game of Murder and Mystery, you can expect an evening filled with intrigue, puzzles, and dramatic twists! You’ll step into character, solve clues, and work with fellow guests to uncover the truth behind a thrilling murder mystery. It’s immersive, fun, and unforgettable!
How will characters be decided and distributed?
Character invitations will be sent to players via email (at the email provided during ticket purchase), with each role assigned at random. Character assignments will typically be sent out at least 2 weeks prior to the event date, and on a rolling basis for those who purchase tickets within the 2 week window.
Private Parties
How far in advance should I book my hosting experience?
We require at least a 30 day notice for all hosting bookings. However, if you already know your preferred date, we recommend booking as soon as possible to avoid any changes in availability.
How does payment for the hosting experience work?
Once we have received all details related to your booking, you will receive a quote for the total cost of your hosting experience. In order to officially book your party with our team, a 50% deposit is required to be paid at time of booking and the remaining 50% will be due on the day of your event.
How much does a hosting experience cost?

Where is my order?
All orders will receive a tracking link once the order is shipped. This tracking link should be able to help you determine the current location and the estimated delivery date for your order. When should I expect my order?
Please allow up to 2 business days for order processing. After your order is processed, it will be shipped to you using your selected shipping speed at the time of purchase (4-7 business days for standard or 2-3 business days for express shipping).
